Members of the Nigerian Bar Association Anambra State Chapter has taken to the Streets in protest over the kidnap and killing of the Chairman Nigeria Bar Association Mr Francis Onwuachi who also doubles as President General of Omor Community in Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He was kidnapped along Ezu River/Anaku Road about a week ago on his way to his town by suspected herdsmen on his way to his town and found dead on Friday.
Lawyers who moved from the State High Court around Alex Ekwueme Square to the State Government House along Enugu Onitsha Expressway Awka stated their grievances was the rising level of insecurity in the state and the subsequent kidnap and murder of one of them.
The protest was addressed by the secretary to the state government Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu stated that the government regrets the current state of security in the state and is doing its best to restore normalcy, he went further to sympathize with the lawyers over their loss.
