A joint taskforce of Anambra State Government led by the Physical Planning Board has sealed off the building site of an ongoing structure which collapsed last night.
The collapsed building, a five storey building still under construction, situates at A-Class Avenue St John Paul Estate, Umuogali Village, Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.
Executive Chairman of the Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe revealed that contrary to reports making the rounds on the media space, no casualty was recorded.
He emphasized that no approval was secured for the project as the staff of the board always face resistamce from people of the area, for any development project.
The President General of Umuogali Village, Dr. Kingsley Obasoanya who regretted that such an action happened, revealed that the developer is far away in Spain, stressing that the village people have since launched a search for the contractor building the project.
