Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University have hit Administration Block of the University in protest to the hike in the tuition fees of the school.
The students are saying that this increase is causing untold hardship on both them and their parents or guardians who are seeing them through school, this is is having higher effect on students whom are seeing themselves through school as this increase will cause a huge number of students to drop out and the newly admitted will be forced to forfeit their admission as they can’t afford to pay the bills that will be waiting for them.
The school management put out a statement that it doesn’t have plans of increasing the fees but a document which was signed by the deputy vice chancellor Prof. Ikechebelu which surfaced today contained the new fees students both old and new are supposed to pay for the new session.
