The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has returned the name of Prof. Charles Soludo as the Candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA for the forthcoming Governorship Election in Anambra.
This return came after the commission met today 19th of August 2021 and deliberated on A number of issues including the Anambra Governorship Election which prompted the commission to release a press statement which contained the return of Prof. Soludo’s Name as the APGA Candidate, according to the commission it said this change was effected after it was served the certified true copy of the Kano Court of Appeal which set aside the Jigawa High Court judgment on which the Commission initially listed Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji as the candidate of APGA.
This Change by INEC is pending a counter judgement from the supreme court as we have info of an impending appeal by the Jude Okeke Faction of APGA on the leadership of the party.
