Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme was brought to life in 2016 with the passage of the law establishing Anambra State Health Insurance Agency with the aim of providing quality and low cost health care services for the Anambra populace.
The Services can be gotten by simply enrolling oneself to this scheme by paying an annual fee of #12000,the individual can enjoy services ranging from malaria, typhoid, pneumonia, gastroenteritis, almost all childhood illnesses for the under 5 years. Women of childbearing age can also enjoy antenatal services, delivery even through Caesarean section and Surgeries like appendectomy, Herniorrhaphy, lumpectomy etc.This scheme also covers cost of laboratory services and hospital admission for up to 15 days in a year.
The scheme has over 260 private and public hospitals in its pool all over the state to provide these services.Payment can be made in any commercial bank of your choice in the state through the pay direct platform,A code will be generated after this payment,This code will be taken to any of the 21 local government headquarters office close to your town of residence,There is ASHIA desk office in the various offices where the code will be used for enrollment.
