The Government of Anambra State has Sealed Up Ifenna Filling Station located at the Popular Regina Junction by Enugu Onitsha Expressway Awka for selling petrol above the government regulated pump price.
This operation was carried out by the Anambra State Government Task Force on Petroleum headed by Comrade Peter Nwosu who is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Petroleum, NUPENG and Union Matters, according to the comrade the filling was selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly referred to as Fuel at Two Hundred Naira (#200) per liter as against the government set price which is One Hundred and Sixty Five Naira (#165) after the lingering problem between the government and the filling station operators which caused the increase in the price of Petrol across the South East had been resolved and a communique issued jointly by the the Union and the Government for the price of Petrol to be reverted to its pump price.
He went further to say that residents of Anambra should call the following number 08066382000 if they find any station selling above the pump price as this particular operation will send a message across to the other stations still selling above the pump price.
