Today 27th of March 2021 Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor, Member representing Nnewi North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly declared his intention to run for the office of the Governor of Anambra State come the November 6th 2021 under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
This is coming as a huge surprise as he is like a newbie in mainstream politics and just won his first election that brought him to the Anambra State House of Assembly in 2019 and he is the youngest so far to declare his intention to occupy the apex seat in the state.
Prior to his joining mainstream politics,he was the founder and CEO of Reapfold Printing Press,which is one of the biggest printing and branding outfits in the state, He was also a one time Students Union Government president of Federal Polytechnic Oko and former president National Youth Councy of Nigeria Anambra State Chapter.
He aspires to make Anambra a “SMART” State, we watch keenly as activities preceding the election proper unfolds and if he will emerge as the party’s flag bearer in the election.
