Gov. Obiano Constitutes Peace/Reconciliation And National Outreach Committee For APGA

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State in his Capacity as the National leader and Chairman of Board of Trustees of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has constituted a twelve man peace/reconciliation and national outreach committee for the party.

The Committee which has former national Chairman of the Party, Sen. Victor Umeh as Chairman, is to reconcile aggrieved members of the party and resolve any lingering problems in the party in any local government area, so that (APGA) can approach the November sixth Governorship election as a very strong and united party.

The Committee will also engage in wide stakeholders outreach to build a formidable coalition across the state for the party, as well as engage other measures that will help the party to succeed.

Addressing members of the press after their inaugural meeting, Sen. Umeh thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed in them and assured that they will carry out the assignment given to them with utmost sincerity, honesty and diligence to ensure that the party emerges victorious during the November sixth Anambra governorship election.

 

Sen. Victor Umeh appealed to all members of the party to give the Committee maximum cooperation to deliver on the job.

Earlier, the Secretary to Anambra State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu said that they will do their job judiciously to ensure that no member of the party is left behind or aggrieved.

The Committee has former Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Engineer Emeka Sibeudu as Secretary.

Other members of the Committee are Dr. Mrs. Uju Okeke, former House of Representatives member for Awka North and South, Hon. Anayo Nnebe, Igwe Rowland Odegbo of Nteje, Speaker, Anambra state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, Special Adviser to Governor Obiano on Political Matters, Barr. Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, Anambra State Chairman of APGA, Sir. Norbert Obi, APGA State Secretary, Barr. Tony Ifeanya, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, as well as the Chief of Staff to Governor Obiano, Chief Primus Odili.
