Information reaching us from Onitsha has it that tipper drivers association in Anambra has staged a huge protest in anger over the multiple taxation and extortion of money from them by touts who parade themselves as revenue agents of the Anambra State Government.

This protest has totally blocked movement in and out of Onitsha as vehicles have lined up from the Onitsha End of the Niger Bridge to Upper Iweka and almost same distance frome the Asaba end of the Bridge.

While speaking to one of our reporters the spokesperson of the association talked about how they are harassed on a daily basis by the touts over what they claim to be taxed paid to the government by their business,they are demanding that the Governor of the state come and listen to their complaints and as well address them on how he intends to tackle this problem,they are also saying they won’t stand down until this demand is met.
