Following a public outcry the Independent National Electoral Commission has concluded plans to start distribution of the Permanent Voters Card to eligible voters who got registered in the continuous voters registration which it conducted in Anambra.
According to the commission it captured 138,802 during the continuous voters registration exercise, it commission after thorough cleaning that it had 62,689 cases of multiple registration which brought down the number of valid registration to 76,184, it also stated that it got 5,674 requests for voter transfer which all were attended to and now brought total number of cards to be distributed to 81,778, this details was contained in a statement signed by the Commission’s National Commissioner and Committee Chairman for Information and Voter Education Bar Festus Okoye.
According to the statement the cards have been printed and will be delivered to the Commission’s office in Anambra for onward distribution
