Anambra State Police command today paraded 14 suspected armed robbers and illegal revenue collectors, The 14 suspects all male were caught in different parts of Onitsha Metropolis.

They were all paraded at the Onitsha Area command office of the Nigeria police which is located along Enugu Road Onitsha. Among the 14 of them 2 whom are both teenagers are suspected armed robbers who were caught robbing individuals of there belongings in Awada Obosi and Nkpor,They were apprehended with make-shift guns they use to rob people at night.

The other 12 are illegal revenue collectors who were apprehended around Upper Iweka Axis and Owerri Road in Onitsha where they were collecting unauthorized revenue from vehicle owners and traders

According to the police public relations officer of the Anambra State Police command who was speaking on behalf of the Commissioner Mr John Abang, he said they are working in line with the directives of the Governor of Anambra State on illegal revenue collectors and Armed Robbers which is to get rid of this menace.
