A viral video from a vote buying incident involving a voter who was seen rejecting vote buying from party agents in the just concluded Governorship Election in Anambra has gotten to the notice of the Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano who has gone ahead to reward the person who outrightly rejected being bought over.
Mrs Eunice Ngozi Onuegbusi was seen rejecting vote buying and was today rewarded with One Million Naira by the Governor of Anambra State for standing up for what is right, this vote buying took place at amagu village ukwulu in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State in polling unit 004 Ward 1.
This reward came at the special thanksgiving mass which was organized for the success of the All Progressive Grand Alliance in the Governorship Election in Anambra State which saw candidate of the party Prof. Chukwuma Soludo being elected as the Governorship of the state, this event took place at the Getchy Hall in the residence of Gov. Willie Obiano in Aguleri.
The Governor while speaking said that this act by the woman shows the commitment of our people to the course of a better Anambra and Nigeria at large.
The recipient while speaking was speaking said that she didn’t know that standing up for what she felt was right could get her this reward, she said that words will fail to explain how happy she is and thanked the Governor for this reward
