Former Governor of Anambra State and former Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP Mr Peter Obi has declared his interest to contest for the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He made this known while addressing the Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers in their chamber in the Government House in Awka.
He stated the reason why someone who can fix the economy of the country and a unifier like him should occupy the highest seat in the land.
Present at the declaration are the longest and oldest serving traditional ruler in the country Igwe Orizu of Nnewi, Senator Representing Anambra Central Senatorial Zone Sen. Uche Ekwunife, former Secretary to Anambra State Government and Guber Candidate of PDP in 2017 Anambra Governorship election Oseloka Henry Obaze and his running Mrs Chidi Onyemelukwe and House of Rep Member Representing Awka North/South Federal Constituency Hon. Emeka Onwuaso amongst many other dignitaries.
