Information reaching us has it that fire has gutted the Kano Street Section of main market Onitsha.
This sad incident was said to have started around 1 am this morning, according to the Chief Fire Fighter Engr Martin Agbili, they got a distress call around 2:20 am and deployed trucks to the scene of the fire incident.
According to sources the fire emanated from a two storey building on the street before spreading to nearby buildings housing shops on the street.
Details on the actual cause of the fire incident are still sketch but we will provide them once they become clearer.
