Ebele Obiano, Victor Umeh, Tinubu, Dozie Nwankwo Casualties As Anambra State Government Enforces Illegal Political Billboards

Anambra State Government through Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency ANSAA has commenced the enforcement of illegal political billboards in the State over none compliance with both payment to the state government and failure of using registered advert practioners in the state.

 

Top casualties in the enforcement are the former national chairman of APGA and senatorial candidate of Labour Party for Anambra Central Senatorial Zone Chief Victor Umeh, Immediate Past First Lady of the State and APGA’s candidate for Anambra North Senatorial Zone Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, Former Commissioner for Trade and Commerce Chief Uchenna Okafor amongst others.

While speaking to News Men, The Managing Director of ANSAA Mr Tony Ujubuonu said that notification of Political Parties and Candidates on levies to pay and procedures to follow before political billboards can fly in the state started in August 2022 and subsequently they have been written to twice after the initial notification was sent out, that this is the agency doing what is legal.

Defaulters are adviced to do what they are lawfully demanded of to avoid more sanctioning by the state government which might include be sued to court.
