Awka City Stadium will be ready to host the maiden football match on December, 22nd, 2021.
The hint was given when Governor Willie Obiano inspected the ongoing construction work at the project.
Governor Willie Obiano who was in company of his wife, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano, expressed happiness at the quality of work and urged the contractor to speed up work to ensure timely completion and delivery.
On arrival,It observed that the track has been fully installed, while laying of the artificial turf is ongoing.
Chairman of Anambra State Sports Commission, Mr. Tony Oli, contractor of the project, Mr. Obi Egbe, among others were on ground to recieve the governor.
