Another Attack on the police in Anambra

In the early hours of today a set of gunmen attacked a police outpost in Mgbakwu town in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State which is just few kilometers away from the seat of power in the state which Awka.

This attack was successfully repelled by the men of the Nigeria police who were on duty as at the time of this attack.

The force public relations officer in the State DSP Tobechukwu Ikenga while speaking on behalf of the Commissioner stated that the main aim of these attackers was to set the outpost ablaze, he further stated that the police is much more ready now to discharge its duties as expected of them and that is the more reason they successfully repelled this attack.

This series of attack is more than enough reason why a state of emergency should be declared on security in the state.
