The Government of Anambra State has Suspended all Market Union Election in the State.
This information was contained in a memo issued by the State Ministry of Commerce and addressed to All Market Union Leaders, according to the letter which as signed by The Commissioner Hon. Uchenna Okafor, it stated the the state can no afford to create a political heated up environment in the middle of a transition to another government.
The new dates for election in various markets will be decided by the market leadership and it will be beyond March 2022, the secretariat of Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA) has been mandated to enforce this directive.
