News reaching us has it that the Deputy Governor of Anambra State Dr. Nkem Okeke is set to join the All Progressive Congress APC ahead of the Gubernatorial Election which is set to hold in the state on the 6th of November 2021.
Members of the APC in the state this evening stormed the home of the Deputy Governor situated in the high brow Ngozika Estate Awka, members of the APC Delegation included the Governorship Candidate of the party Sen. Andy Uba, his running mate Bar. Emeka Okafor, the campaign DG Mr Emmanuel Chukwuma and a host of others.
The APC is set to capitalize on the frosty relationship between the Governor and His Deputy which was evident in his absence at APGA’s campaign flag off in Awka, Dr Nkem Okeke was said to have been sidelined entirely from the affairs of the government for major part of his second term in office as Deputy Governor, rumors also have it that his entitlements and allowances have been stalled for some period of time.
The APC is bound to capitalize on the above reasons to woo to Deputy Governor to cross over to the party as this will be a bonus for them in preparation for the forthcoming Governorship Election in Anambra State.
