Senator Stella Oduah Officially Defects From The PDP to APC

Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial Zone of Anambra State Princess Stella Oduah has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).


The Senator was welcomed by Party Top shots which included Mai Mala Buni, national chairman of the APC caretaker committee; Ovie Omo-Agege, deputy senate president; Atiku Bagudu, chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), and Hope Uzodimma, Imo governor.

The Caretaker Chairman while speaking at the event said that she would be granted all the privileges accorded to APC members.

“You will enjoy the privileges enjoyed by all members of the party because you will have a waiver,” the Yobe governor said.

Sen. Oduah while speaking at the event said that the People’s Democratic Party PDP no longer suits her ideology of helping change the political and developmental narrative in the south eastern part of the country and her supporters are very happy she took this bold step.

Andy Uba, a former senator and APC candidate in the November 2021 Anambra governorship election, was also present at the event and said that this is a plus in his ambition in becoming the Governor of Anambra State and a plus as it will help in the party’s ambition to retain power come 2023.
